Romania: Electrica’s tender for smart electricity meters
, SEE Energy NewsAccording to tender documentation, Electrica is planning to install these smart meters in the period between 2021 and 2023.
Distributie Energie Electrica Romania (DEER), Electrica’s new electricity distribution division formed by a merger of previous three distribution units, has launched a tender for the procurement of 500,000 smart electricity meters earlier this year, which should be concluded by the end of the month.
The tender has an estimated value of 35 million euros and is the largest organized by Electrica, so far. In addition, after the merger of the three distribution companies, Muntenia Nord, Transilvania Sud and Transilvania Nord, it is the first centralized acquisition of smart meters for the entire distribution network. The contract award criterion is the best price-quality ratio, where the price has a score of 70 % in the evaluation of the offer, and the rest is related to technical characteristics. The duration of the contract implementation is three years, and the deadline for the submission of offers is 12 April.
