Metrorex awarded company Hidroelectrica the contract for the electricity procurement for the period of 12 months at the tender procedure. Electricity generator will receive EUR 10.82 million, VAT excluded, out of the estimated EUR 12.43 million, VAT excluded.
The Contract foresees the procurement of 170.000 MWh of middle voltage electricity in the period 01.07.2016 – 30.06.2017.
Tenders were also submitted by Arelco Power, CEZ Vânzare, Electrica Furnizare, Tinmar Energy, Enel Energie and RWE Energie.
Current supplier of Metrorex is Electrica Furnizare that was awarded the contract at the tender procedure held in June 2015. The value of the contract amounted to EUR 10.65 million, VAT excluded, out of the estimated EUR 12.43 million.
Metrorex is state-owned company managing underground in Bucharest and employs 4,000 people. Last year it generated revenue of EUR 146 million, that is by 8.2% higher compared to the previous year.
