Romania: Power trading of Hidroelectrica in may

During the auctions of 29 to 30 May 2014, Hidroelectrica sold on power exchange, 12 packages delivering broadband and peak energy for the period 01.07.2014 – 31.12.2016 total amount of 270 970 MWh. The turnover was approximately 11 million euros according to a communication released by the company.

Hidroelectrica signed 4 contracts with Entrex Services, 3 contracts with Electrica Transilvania Sud Distribution and one contract with Tinmar, Transformer Energy Supply, Gas & Energy C-Distribution, Enel Energie and GEN- I Bucharest.

Package price peak has exceeded 200 USD / MWh, delivering peak power in 2015 was sold at a price of 205.43 lei / MWh and the average price obtained for energy delivery in Q3 year 2014 was 202.89 lei / MWh.

According to the release, the first to market in Romania, was made a transaction for a standard delivery band calendar year 2016, the tender was won by Enel Energy at a price of 180.5 lei / MWh, a price above the average of 176.3 lei / MWh delivery related transactions tape made in 2015, showing an upward trend in the price of energy sold in 2015 and 2016 compared to this year.
