Romania: Railway company to purchase 20.000MW on OPCOM
, SEE Energy NewsNational Railway Company “CFR” SA announced that it will organize on July 17, on the Romanian Commodities Exchange (BRM), the first procedure of purchasing 20,500 MWh of electricity for own consumption.
Interested economic operators may submit to the BRM offer for the entire quantity of 20,500 MWh, of which 17,000 MWh of electricity and 3,500 MWh low voltage medium voltage electricity.
Energy delivery period is 1/9/2014 – 30.08.2015 and award criterion will be the lowest price. Deadline for receipt of documentation and tenders is July 17, 2014.
Sources of financing the acquisition will be provided by CFR SA company’s own funds.
General director of CFR SA, Macarius Moldovan, said “2014 is the year that CFR SA, as the public railway infrastructure manager, performed the first transaction on the stock market for the purchase of electricity, the output of the regulated market where the consumer was trapped on geographical areas suppliers E.ON Energie Romania SA, Enel Energie SA and CEZ Sale SA. ”
CFR transferred to SC Electrification CFR SA and service supply and power management drones operational measure aims to reduce costs, energy consumption, perceived rail operators.
