Transelectrica reported that in the first half of 2014 marked operating income of 294.87 MEUR, 18.4% higher than recorded in the same period last year, as reported on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB). Higher income from cross-border interconnection capacity allocation have also contributed to this growth.
Moreover, the company had, in Q1 2014 net profit of 50.91 million euros, 2.2 times higher than the Q1 2013 (102.74 million USD).
Some segment profit activities allowed revenues increased approximately 11% mainly driven by growth tariffs (+ 8.6% transport service, + 52.6% service functional system), which offset the effect of decreasing the volume billed energy (-2.9%).
Income from operations increase allowed profit (USD 68 million) was driven by increased tariffs for transmission services and ancillary services.
Higher income from cross-border interconnection capacity allocation have also contributed to this growth.
