Canadian Company “Reservoir Capital” (REV) got positive opinion from the Ministry of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection about Environmental Influence Studies of Lim’s HPPs.
Approval, like it was stated in REV, opens door to this company to issue construction license in a few months and to begin project realization in autumn.
“The value of investment is 146 million EUR. Two HPPs with total power of 59 MW yearly will produce 230 GWH of electricity”, Miljana Vidovic, Director of REV Company in Serbia said to journalists.
She stressed that document that ministry estimated positively expresses two small lakes in river canyon that can keep average two days’ watercourse of Lim with dams 23 and 28 meters high, and they won’t change ecology of the area.
According to her word, if we don’t solve property and legal questions with railway and Serbian roads in time, construction license will be issued in a few months and first works would start in autumn.
“Diversion of Lim’s watercourse in planned in the first place and then construction of the tunnel that will enable replacement of the part of highway. We expect engagement of around a thousand workers in the future period”, Vidovic said.
