“This year began with good inflows and if we continue to improve hydrology this way, electricity surplus will be placed on market that will enable additional incomes to EPS”, Deputy Director of EPS pointed out.
EPS’s Deputy Director for electricity market, Miladin Basaric stated that Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) will take over 927 million kWh of electricity from Elektroprivreda Crne Gore.
He underlined that EPS bought 573 million kWh on tender of Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske last year.
“66 million kWh still is planned to be taken over from privileged producers, next these purchases, as well as purchase of 415 million kWh on regional market in order to balance electricity portfolio of EPS in this year”, Basaric précised.
He said for magazine “kWh” that planned production from HPPs for 2013 is about 9 billion kWh. It represents 4% with reference to circulating HPPs, and 25% less than before with reference to accumulation and reversible HPPs, Basaric précised.
“This year began with good inflows and if we continue to improve hydrology this way, electricity overage will be placed on market that will enable additional incomes to EPS”, Deputy Director of EPS pointed out.
EPS coal TPPs should produce 7% of energy more than last year on contrary to the plan for HPPs- he stressed and stated that TPPs should produce near 26 billion kWh.
Lower production of electricity was acquired in TPPs last year because revitalization and capital overhaul were done on three big thermal blocks, two in TENT and one in Kostolac. Therefore, these blocks didn’t work for several months.
Despite that, TPPs manufactured around 40 billion kWh in 2012, what was less than it had been planned and less than production in those TPPs in 2011, Basaric added.
He stated that 38,4 million tons of coal should be provided for electricity production from Kolubara, Kostolac and the mine with underground exploitation.
