Serbia, PowerChina interested to invest in wind and solar projects

Chairman of PowerChina Resources Sheng Yuming said after the meeting with Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Zorana Mihajlovic that the company is interested in investments in Serbia‟s energy sector, especially in solar power plants and wind farms, but also hydro projects, where it has great experience.

Yuming and Minister Mihajlovic discussed about the possibilities of cooperation in renewable energy projects in Serbia.

Minister Mihajlovic said that Serbia is at the beginning of the energy transition process, the country has recently adopted a new legal framework in the field of energy and is very interested in cooperating with the best world companies which have the knowledge and the experience, especially when it comes to renewable energy projects. She added that Serbia already has good cooperation with Chinese companies in the fields of transport and infrastructure projects.
