Several Chinese companies leaded by “China Power” are interested to invest 1,5 billion EUR in construction of TPPs in Serbia. They are also interested in investing in opening of new mine fields.
Construction of TPPs in Serbia is most probable in Kolubara or Kostolac and it would be the first big Chinese investment in Europe. According to informations it is arranged that some other Chinese companies are involved and the whole project will be supported by Chinese Government and their financial institutions.
Negotiations are in progress. Time is required for business to be concluded and everything goes in this direction. If we achieve an arrangement, it will be great for Serbia and we would export the bigger part of produces.
“China Power” is one of the five biggest companies in China and it deals with aluminum, oil and railways and port equipment production.
Chinese President Si Djiping stated that China will give 5 million dinars to Serbia and he said that relations between Peking and Belgrade are entering the new phase of intensive development.
-China is ready to deepen strategic partnership with Serbia. We will give support to Serbian Government. We are ready to encourage Chinese companies to invest in Serbia, especially infrastructure, agriculture, informatics industry and energy- Si said, and official website of President reported.
