Serbia:The construction of mini hydropower plant near Prokuplje, News Serbia Energy
MLH Company will soon start the construction of small hydropower plant of 350 kilowatts in Rastovnici near Prokuplje. 700.000 EUR value of investment.
Director of the Company, created by the funds of Serbian diaspora in the United States, Vojin Lepojević says the idea came from the director of the Business Incubator Center of Prokuplje, Aleksandar Jelic.
– As the administrative procedure for the construction of one small hydropower plant is extremely complicated since it takes more than 40 different permits, reviews and approvals, there is a crucial efficiency of the Local Government in issuing the necessary documents. The former cooperation with the municipality of Prokuplje was flawless – says Lepojević.
He adds that it is necessary to obtain some document and that it is planned to start construction in the spring. The company will invest 700,000 EUR in the hydropower plant.
