Slovenian electricity producer Holding Slovenske Elektrarne (HSE) repaid 142 million euros of a 492 million euros capital funding disbursed by sovereign holding company SDH in last December.
SDH said that HSE will return an additional 60 to 100 million euros by the end of 2023, ahead of schedule. HSE repaid 242 million euro to SDH, with the first installment of 100 million euro repaid inJune.
SDH injected 492 million euros in the capital of HSE to help the company bridge its liquidity gap and enable it to independently and efficiently manage electricity production. HSE plans to repay the capital injection by the end of 2024.
