Slovenian energy group Petrol recorded a net profit in the amount of 32.4 million euros in the first quarter of 2022, which is by 17 % more compared to the same period last year.
The statement from the group said that the good financial result was backed by the integration of Croatian fuel retailer Crodux Derivati Dva in the group.
The group’s sales revenues in the first three months of 2022 rose by 12 % year-on-year and amounted to 1.937 billion euros, backed by 41 % increase in fuel and fuel products sales, which reached 906,400 tons in the reviewed period.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased by 21 % year-on -year, reaching 65.6 million euros. 47 % of Q1 EBITDA came from energy solutions, 37 from fuel sales, 13 % from merchandise sales and 3 % include other revenues.
The group sold 5.7 TWh of natural gas, 2.9 TWh of electricity and 83.7 thousand MWh of thrmal energy in the first quarter of the year. Investments at the group level amounted to 8.2 million euros in the first quarter.
At the end of March 2022, Petrol operated 593 petrol stations, including 318 in Slovenia, 202 in Croatia, 42 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 16 in Serbia and 15 in Montenegro.
