Albanian Ministry of Infrastructure and energy has invited interested parties to submit their applications in a tender for the construction onshore wind farms with total capacity of 100 MW.
The statement from the Ministry said that potential investors in onshore wind projects with capacity between 10 and 75 MW have until 13 June to submit their applications in order to be considered for the second stage of the tender. In case of increased interest, the total capacity may be increased to 150 MW in the second stage.
It is expected that the qualified bidders will be revealed in August, when the second stage of the tender will be launched. The winning investors are expected to be announced in June 2023.
The tender was launched in June 2021 with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
