Bosnia: CEZ withdraws from BiH
, SEE Energy NewsThe State Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERK) issued a decision that, as of 31 December, the license for CEZ BIH Sarajevo for international electricity trade expires. In this way Czech power company definitely stops operating in BiH.
As Mirsad Salkic, Chairman of the Commission, said to “Avaz”, the decision on the termination of the license was made at the request of CEZ. Previously, the management of the company from the Czech Republic made a decision about the winding up and liquidation of the Sarajevo branch.
The company was planning to build a power plant “Gacko 2” in BiH, but a project worth several billion failed.
