In the race for investment agreement for construction of new unit 7 of Thermal Power Plant “Tuzla” stayed two partners, confirmed Enver Agic, President of the Supervisory Board of “Electric Power Industry BiH”. During the official opening of bids at the end of June this year, with the two bidders, as rival figured the consortium whose leader is “Cobra” from Spain ,and consists of “MVM Ovit” from Hungary, “Toshiba” from Japan and “Rafako” from Poland.
– It came up to two bidders – these are the Chinese consortium (“China Gezhouba Group” and the company “Guangdong Electric Power Design”) and the Japanese “Hitachi” – said Agic.
During the official opening of bids at the end of June this year, with the two bidders, as rival figured the consortium whose leader is “Cobra” from Spain ,and consists of “MVM Ovit” from Hungary, “Toshiba” from Japan and “Rafako” from Poland.
– Evaluation of bids is in its final stage and it is expected by the end of the year to see the fate of the two bidders. We hope that the model will be found as well as solution for the the construction of Block 7 – Agic said, adding that he can not surely tell when the commencement of works can be expected.
Block 7 is the replacement production capacity on an existing TPP “Tuzla”, with projected installed capacity of 450 MW and a possible annual production electricity of 2,756 GWh.
Start of Block 7 is planned for next year and production start in 2019.
