Reconstruction of a part of 110 kV Dropla transmission line is being planned. The reconstruction contract is signed between Bulgarian electricity transmission system operator ESO and local company Emu. The contract is worth 6.4 million euros.
The statement from the company said that Emu’s offer was selected at the tender with two received bids. The contract is related the reconstruction of a section of the transmission line between General Toshevo and Shabla substation.
Last year, ESO awarded two contracts to Emu. A 10.2 million euros worth contract for construction, repair, reconstruction and rehabilitation of several 220-400 kV transmission lines and a 16.9 million euros worth contract for the construction of 400 kV overhead transmission line. The transmission line in question is 43.5 kilometers long section of the future transmission line between coal-fired thermal power plant Maritsa East 3 in southwestern Bulgaria with the coastal town of Burgas.
