Russian oil gian Gazprom and its doughter company Gazprom Neft is coming to Croatia with a representative office. New mining law will liberalize the concession matrix in the country and increase the competition on the market.
According to Croatian press Gazprom Neft is interested in potentials of Croatian and Bosnian market and its expected that Russian company open a representative office in coming days.
This information was confirmed by Serbian branch, Gazpromneft is the major owner of Serbian Oil Industry.
The new representative office director will be Boris Medvedev ex economical advisor of Russian embassy in Croatia and there is a big possibility that Gazprom Neft will focus on exploration concessions for which they were interested even before.
Earlier two phased concession permits process was not preferable for Russian company but with new mining law it is expected that the competition will increase in Croatian mining and natural resources exploration.
