InterWatt in present in Hungarian solar market since 2012 and operates solar parks in Csongrad, Bacs-Kiskun, and Pest counties.
According to Hungarian media, InterWatt is planning to build two solar power plants in Inarcs, southwest of Budapest. The two plants will have combined installed capacity of 96 MW, thus becoming the largest such facility in the country.
The solar power plants are expected to generate about 125 GWh of electricity per year, enough to cover the demand of some 50,000 households. The plants should be commissioned in the second half of 2022. InterWatt will finance the project using its own resources, but also through loans.
