Total debt of Montenegrin citizens for consumed electricity at the end of May amounted to 134 million euros. The largest amount is owed by households in Bijelo Polje municipality, which owe about 700 euros on average, while the average household debt at state level amounts to some 400 euros.

However, power utility EPCG state that they have managed to increase collection rate in the past few months, which stopped the trend of rising debt. EPCG representatives said that the company is constantly launching various actions aimed at facilitating the repayment of debts for all categories of consumers.

Most regular payers are the citizens of Tivat municipality, whose average debt amounts to just 100 euros. Regularity in payment is rewarded with monthly discounts of five to ten percent, transmits Serbia-energy.eu
