Total electricity consumption in North Macedonia in October 2019 amounted to 570,138 MWh, natural gas consumption amounted to 20.245 million cubic meters, coal consumption reached 430,426 tons, while the consumption of petroleum products stood at 96,232 tons.
According to the data from State Statistical Office, 68.1 % of the consumed electricity in October was
covered by domestic production, while 92.6 % of the total coal consumption was used for electricity production.
Total net production of electricity in North Macedonia in October 2019 stood at 364,021 MWh, which is 16.2 % lower compared to the same month last year (431,464 MWh). 214,905 MWh or 59 % was produced at thermal power plants (- 15.7 % compared to October 2018), 70,056 MWh or 19.2 % was produced at hydropower plants (- 8.4 %), 66,967 MWh or 18.4 % in CHP plants and 5,140 MWh or 1.41 % was produced by Bogdanci wind farm.
