Russian gas company Gazprom announced that the operation of TurkStream gas pipeline resumed in the evening hours of 27 June. The company stopped gas deliveries via the pipeline due to previously scheduled maintenance works between 21 and 28 June.
One of two TurkStream’s 15.75 billion cubic meters per year lines enters Bulgaria (Gazprom halted gas deliveries to Bulgaria in late April), from where gas is supplied to Greece, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary. The other line supplies Turkey directly.
Total gas deliveries to southeastern Europe via TurkStream in 2021 amounted to 11.6 billion cubic meters or an average of 32 million cubic meters per day.
