Construction of the second phase of the power plant TPP Ugljevik and new unit three project, will be continued in the spring – total 300 MW, and the total investment of works in TPP and the mine is about 800 MEUR. “Komsar Energy” applied to public tender for the concession for construction of Block 3, which is already closed. China Power Engineering Consulting Group Corporation is main contractor and US “Black and Veatch” is key project supervisor. “Komsar Energy” is also working on the construction of HPP “Mrsovo”, power of 37.3 MW, and the estimated value of the investment is about 100 million.
The director of “Komsar Energy of the Republic of Srpska” Sinisa Majstorovic said that preparatory works have so far been completed.
They included construction of the two roads on the plateau where the construction of TE 3 is planned, the bridge over the river Janja, a place for depot of coal… Campus for worker accommodation is made, coal was investigated, and in October it is expected to obtain an environmental permit for new electric power giant.

“In the first phase hundreds of workers hired were from the Republic of Serbian, as well as several local companies, and coal exploration lasted a year and a half. In the second phase of construction, which began in the spring, much larger number of people will be involved, “announced Majstorovic.
He believes that during the construction of each block of the “Ugljevik 3” thousands of workers will be hired, and after the comissioning in the end of 2016 around 800 new jobs will be open.
Majstorovic said that the agreement on a “turnkey” construction of two blocks with the power of 300 MW was signed with the Chinese company China Power Engineering Consulting Group Corporation.
The American company “Black and Veatch” is also hired, as one of the world’s largest companies, for full control over all processes of construction of TPP 3 Ugljevik.
Majstorovic said that the Chinese company has already supplied the project documentation, which should be nostrified and revised by the end of March.
“This power plant will be built to the highest international standards and the world’s two largest companies – the Chinese and American are working on it,” says Majstorovic.
“Komsar Energy” is working on the construction of HPP “Mrsovo”, intensity 37.3 MW, and the estimated value of the investment is about 100 million. This project has already been fulfilled location conditions and the contract on construction is signed, geotechnical tests have been completed, and the project is waiting for validation.
Majstorovic says that “Komsar Energy” analyzes the overall energy sector in the Republic of Serbian and hopes that that is not all of its investments.
He notes that this company has good cooperation with the Serbian government, and local communities – Ugljevik and Rudo.
