Bosnian power utility EPBiH, whose electricity generation is significantly based on thermal power plants, has put the increase in the share of renewable sources in its production portfolio as a crucial point of its business plan. EPBiH intends to purchase renewable energy projects that are in operation or in the final stage of development/construction.
The company launched a public call to interested parties who are willing to sell operational hydropower plants with installed capacity of more than 1 MW, as well as those in development with installed capacity of 10 MW and more, and wind farms with installed capacity of more than 3 MW, both operational and in development.
For projects in development, the minimum requirement is the possession of zoning consent, and the projects that have a larger scope of completed activities will have the advantage in the selection process. For the best ranked projects, EPBiH will send a request for detailed information and documentation, and submit an offer with the price at which it is willing to purchase the project.
Also, EPBiH intends to purchase solar power plants with a capacity of 1 MW and more, both in operation or development.
The deadline for submitting a letter of interest is 31 December.
