Today, representatives of EFT Mine and TPP “Stanari” near Doboj has signed a loan agreement 15,350,000 euros with Sberbank for the procurement of systems for primary crushing and continuous coal transport from the Mine to the future thermal power plant. In May 2010, it was signed the Contract for construction of TPP “Stanari” with a Chinese company “Dongfang Electric Corporation,” for which the main lender Chinese Development Bank has provided amount of 350 million euros.
“The belt conveyor system with primary crusher will be purchased from the German manufacturer FAM Magdeburger Förderanlagen und Baumaschinen GmbH”, the Director of the Mine and TPP Ivica Јakovljević told reporters.
“The belts are around 2.5 km long, which will transport 2.5 million tons of coal per year, 2.5 times more than what is produced today”, he said.
According to him, the assembling of the system will run from July this year to September 2015. For the assembling of the complete system are hired 32 workers.
Under the name EFT – Mine and Thermal Power Plant “Stanari”, the company operates since January 2008. The total project value is greater than 550 million euros, which includes construction of thermal power plant and the development of the mine to the required capacity.
In May 2010, it was signed the Contract for construction of TPP “Stanari” with a Chinese company “Dongfang Electric Corporation,” for which the main lender Chinese Development Bank has provided amount of 350 million euros.
Upon completion of construction, TPP will employ about 850 employees.
TPP “Stanari”, once completed, will be the first power plant in Southeastern Europe, which work will be aligned with the technological and ecological standards of the EU, so that there is no danger of pollution of the Doboj area and the surrounding area as well.
